About Blackwing:
The Blackwing pencil was developed in 1930, and has been used by some of the most legendary Grammy, Emmy, Pulitzer and Academy Award winners to date. This includes John Steinbeck, Stephen Sondheim, and Chuck Jones (who proudly used Blackwing pencils to create Bugs Bunny and countless other Looney Tunes characters). In 1998, the Blackwing pencil was discontinued, but not forgotten. In fact, fans began paying as much as $40 per pencil on eBay. Artists from around the world urged Palomino Brands, another premium pencil brand to pick up selling the Blackwing pencil...And they did! Today, many claim the Blackwing pencil to be the best writing utensil in the world.
